ELECTROJUICE tee

ELECTROJUICE tee

In 2007 the 93’ers Mads Kolding and Jakob Littauer visited The Late Of The Pier’s website in search of new rock music, but ended up taking their first step towards being one of Denmark’s most exciting electronic acts ever with their unique blend of electronica, hip hop and techno that somehow fills in the void between the club and the sleeping chamber – a fusion of analogue and digital elements.

The website visit resulted in the boys’ first remix of the song ”Broken” and since that day a number of prominent Danish artists have requested remixes by Electrojuice – among others VETO, WhoMadeWho and Lulu Rouge.

Through the following two years the boys have been DJ’ing in clubs all over Denmark, but have also played as a love act at both SPOT Festival 08 and 09, By:Larm 09, on tour with Familjen (S) and not to mention supported The Prodigy (UK) and Kraftwerk (D).

They have several times been pointed out as future stars both by medias and colleagues in Denmark, and with the release of their first EP, Solrock, they’re confident that the expectations will be fulfilled.

The title of the EP comes from the Pokemon, Solrock, simply because it’s the coolest of its kind according to the boys. Lunatone opens the tracklist with a mystic moonlight feel to it, and the title track wraps the whole thing up with its explotions of playful harmonies and bubbly sounds. Solrock EP is in other the words the boys’ take on a travel through the night from when the moon is at its highest to the sun rises.

You can expect thundering beats, heavy bass, tickling feet and spacey effects, but at the same time thoughtful tunes, dark and mystical moods and not least two insanely focused young boys that both understand how to fire up a dance floor and on the other hand to take all the time in the world to build up a feeling, tear it down and breathtake the listener.

One moment you’re puzzled, the next you’re provoked, but all in all you’re taken on a journey through a warm, challenging electronic universe, you didn’t even know excisted.

Their inspirations count Mode Selektor, Apparat, Animal Collective, James Holden and Tomas Barfod (WhoMadeWho, Tartelet Records, etc.) that very appropriately also handled the mixing process of the EP – but the result came out completely different and very much as its own. Not necessarily as the reinvention of the wheel, it just seems to be all down hill.

DEBUT EP OUT OCTOBER 19TH 2009
